AWACS Awards in Marketing Excellence, Brand of the year for Trajenta (2017,2016)

team Trajenta won the The BILLY GOLD Award. BILLY awards are the way of celebrating successful projects implemented by countries. It is a platform which creates culture of recognising and showcasing successful initiations by different countries across the organisation. The winning projects are chosen by senior leaders within the Boehringer Ingelheim & Lilly Diabetes Alliance.
Trajenta was launched in India in June 2012 as the 4th molecule and 7th brand in DPP-4i Mono market. Trajenta became the fastest OAD in India to reach the 1 Billion INR (14 Million Euros) milestone in record 22 months. Trajenta has had the highest first 12 month sale period. Trajenta is the most awarded brand in BI India.
Commenting on the win brand team said, “Trajenta is pitted in an intensely competitive DPP4i market with ~50 brands with price extremities and yet it was insulated due to its renal positioning and the innovative marketing initiatives aligned to it. This helped the brand to sustain an upper hand over competition along with the innovative in-clinic communication. Moreover the tailor made communication approach empowered the sales rep coupled with unique digital initiatives to reach out to the target customers, which broke the conundrum of conventional approaches and was valued by various stakeholders”.
